Behind every successful leader is a mentor. This is the philosophy adopted by Tim Highbaugh, a visionary, mentor, and entrepreneur, who spent 27 years working in Corporate America. With the guidance of his mentor, Tim worked his way through the ranks to become the first African-American male Deputy Chief U.S. Probation Officer in Northern Ohio. During his career he was the recipient of numerous service awards. He founded the Mentoring & Cross Training and Life Skills Programs, which introduced Grief Recovery and 24/7 Dad Fatherhood Programs to a diverse population.
Recognizing the need for positive role models and mentors in our community, Tim served as a mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Indianapolis, Indiana and Greater Cleveland, Ohio. He holds Bachelor and Master Degrees in Criminal Justice from Indiana University – Purdue University at Indianapolis and Kent State University, respectively. In March 2017, Tim retired from Federal Service to pursue his passion for mentoring and leadership.
A Certified Professional Life Coach and Grief Recovery Specialist, he works to heal clients from loss then rebuilds lives through effective Mentoring and Coaching. Recently, Tim founded Strong Finish Mentoring, Inc. He has partnered with New Direction Church in Indianapolis, Indiana to launch his business endeavor, with plans to expand and partner with other agencies. Tim is the father of 2 children and a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.
